ADDICTED TO LOVE

This romantic comedy was sorely overlooked in theaters, but it's wonderful imagery,including a wonderful Camera Obscura sequence, and intelligent script, may find its due audience with this DVD release. Viewers have the choice of choosing between two sides for their preference of letterboxing or P&S. The 1.85:1 scope is my suggestion for the best image, but the picture isn't altered significantly in its P&S format either. The music and sound are used with great effectiveness in the Dolby Digital 5.1 English soundtrack, although the standard Dolby Stereo Surround offered in English, Spanish, and French still manages to provide a nice atmosphere.

The complicated story revolves around Broderick and Ryan as two dumped lovers attempting to win back their former partners who are now involved with eachother. There are plenty of laughs, but more importantly, real unsentimental and honest reflections on love and its inability to ever be completely understood.
