For the third and final season of "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST," Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman reprise their roles as the New York DA and the beast living beneath the city of New York. This season proves the series outstayed its welcome, as the inevitable still feels ridiculous as Vincent and Catherine finally "hook up" and she becomes pregnant. Of course, an evil villain is intent on ruining their future, and some definite tragedy is in the works before the final episode. This reviewer never liked the series, but has to believe, based upon the episodes painfully endured here, that even fans of the series would be disappointed with how its final season concludes.
PARAMOUNT has provided the correct 1.33:1 aspect ratio for this presentation, coinciding with its original full-frame presentation. Colors and detail are generally fine, however, artifacts appear sporadically and grain borders on being intrusive at times.
PARAMOUNT has provided a Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo mix for this release. Its overall dynamic range and fidelity are impressive. Not a lot of effects, but mild separation is apparent throughout and dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.
