Not that “FRED SAVAGE” was a great actor, but it’s hard to like Fred and not be slightly annoyed at the attention given to his younger, less-talented brother Ben. Ben Savage isn’t a horrible actor in the send of Ashton Kutcher, but he’s almost as annoying to watch. It’s hard to find any scene in any episode of “BOY MEETS WORLD”, where Ben Savage isn’t eating the scenery! He doesn’t know how to act internally. Everything,…gestures, facial expressions, are all over the top, constantly!
For fans of the show, the “BOY MEETS WORLD: SEASON 3” is here. Topanga and the rest of the gang are back and while their individual dramas aren’t typically all that impressive, at least this season tries and sometimes succeeds in being less predictable than the two previous seasons.
BUENA VISTA has preserved the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Colors are strong and vibrant. Unfortunately, there is a lot of grain. Contrast is fine with deep blacks and grays.
BUENA VISTA has provided a Dolby Digital 2.0 mix. Separation is delegate to the front stage, for the most part. Some minor rear effects are offered, and music is boosted with all speakers. Dialogue is always impressive and free from distortion.
