Last year's Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson was a terrific blend of comedy and sexiness. The latest offering, "COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST WITH WILLIAM SHATNER" has its share of moments, but, unfortunately, the jokes aren't as side-splittingly funny as the comedians in the early offering had to offer.  To begin with, Jason Alexander, as the show's host, is really, really bad!!! He's not good at keeping the pace going, and his humor really doesn't work here!

Jeffrey Ross is hilarious, but there's not the gut-blasting humor of Lisa Lampinelli and more that is so sorely needed. Andy Dick, so good in the Pamela Anderson roast, is really not at his best either. Too little jokes and everything about this roast seems painfully forced.

PARAMOUNT has provided the correct 1.33:1 aspect ratio.  It's a bright transfer. Colors are rich and the detail is excellent. A few artifacts appear, but, overall it's a great image.

PARAMOUNT has provided a Dolby Digital Stereo mix. Separation is limited, but it's clear and dialogue is always free of distortion.
