COLUMBIA TRISTAR has released the critically acclaimed, "FAST RUNNER." Based on a Inuit legend, "FAST RUNNER" tells the story of Atanariuat, a brave man trying to provide for and protect his family, from an age old curse. A long time before, a shaman put a curse on Atanariuat's clan, and ever since there have been problems. The curse has turned one clan member against another, but the most tension is felt between Atanariuat, along with his brother against Oki, the clan brute. When the brute's bride-to-be falls in love with Atanariuat, tensions flare even more, bringing about a contest, revenge and more!
"THE FAST RUNNER" will be trying for some, unfamiliar with foreign film experience, and isn't the best selection for novices. It's long, though never dull. It's spoken in native Inuit, and shot on video.
Shot in the Arctic, there isn't an abundance of colors here, but what color variation does exist, looks excellent. The image always appears crisp, and contrast is flawless, offering outstanding detail, even in the darkest scenes.
COLUMBIA TRISTAR has presented a DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 mix. This isn't an overly aggressive mix, but there are some great surround/directional moments.
