It’s been a while for fans of “FELICITY” since the last season was released, but finally “FELICITY: SEASON 3” is here!  The writers attempt more risks with this season, offering a wider range of complex relationships and plot developments, some faring better than others. But, even with some of the subplots not hitting a homerun, and even with the main character becoming less attractive, physically “and” emotionally, the series still feels fresh when compared to so many other shows attempting to paint a realistic portrait of adolescence.

BUENA VISTA has provided the correct 1.33:1 aspect ratio.  The image varies in quality, with some scenes much richer in color and detail than in others, but it’s always decent. Contrast is fine, with deep blacks and grays. Some minor grain is present intermittently through some episodes. Fleshtones appear natural.

BUENA VISTA has provided a Dolby 2.0 Mix. While not aggressive, there are some effective surround moments delegated to exterior atmosphere.  Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.

Various talent, made up of cast and crew, offer commentary on three of this season’s episodes, 6, 10 and 13.  Neither the commentary or the “mock-umentary” included here are taken seriously, and it actually diminishes rather than adds to the entertainment potential of the supplements. One worthwhile supplement, however, is found in a parody from “MAD”, featured here!
