SONY has released the critically acclaimed foreign film, "LOOK AT ME".
While some foreign films built around characters that are celebrities fail
miserably, "LOOK AT ME" succeeds wonderfully because it's humor and detail
are so well grounded in truth. The relationships examined herein are
heart-tugging and maddening, as is real-life. Marilou Berry gives one of
many fine performances as the daughter of a famous writer, plagued with the
misfortune of living under her father's celebrity. She's continuously
meeting people who see her only as a means to know her father. What could've
been a so-so story becomes thoroughly captivating and leaves the viewer
wishing the film didn't end.
SONY has preserved the film's 2.35:1 aspect ratio with 16:9 enhancement.
Colors are solid. Contrast is well balanced. There is some minor
SONY has presented a DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 mix. It's not an aggressive mix,
however there are many separation effects delegated to the front stage and
surrounds kick in at some key moments to boost the drama, as well as the
music. Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.
A lengthy featurette is included as well as several deleted scenes.
