Before “PASSIONADA”, Director Dan Ireland created “VELOCITY OF GARY,”
a strange, disturbing, but powerful drama with an incredible cast.
Vincent D’Onofrio plays a former porn star, dying with AIDS, dealing
with his two loves, a gay hustler played by Thomas Jane, and the
beautiful waitress, pregnant with his child, played by Salma Hayek.

Both of these characters convey attitudes that are far from what’s
considered normal, but that’s also why they’re so capable of putting
aside their differences to care for D’Onofrio’s character when he
needs them the most. In spite of the dreary subject matter, there are
some real laughs here peeking through all the sadness and heavy

COLUMBIA TRISTAR has preserved the film’s 2.35:1 aspect ratio, with
16:9 enhancement.  It’s a fine picture, with solid colors and great
contrast. Darker scenes offer wonderful depth. There is no grain
present. Fleshtones appear natural.
COLUMBIA TRISTAR has provided a surprisingly aggressive DOLBY DIGITAL
5.1 mix. Surrounds start right from the opening scene and continue
virtually throughout the film. The music is also well complimented.
Dialogue is always intelligible and free from distortion.
Several trailers are included.
